Deathbefore 20 February 1829He died before 20 February 1829. 161125 Document "64GB D:Home StuffGenealogyBOOKLAND001.DOC" has document reference for both documents where Rachel indentured her two sons.  It gives actual document name and reference in the Annapolis MD Hall of Records.  One of these two records I believe is the one where I first saw the reference to her being a widow.

150117 During the 1989-1993 time frame, I did many trips to the Maryland Hall of Records in Annapolis and one of those times I found a record where Rachel Landing indentured one of her sons as a "hat maker"? and she was listed as a widow. The record must have been dated 20 Feb 1829. I cannot find a copy of that record anywhere.4

This note was to be paid by 1 January 1822.6

Doctor Steveson received this land for nonpayment of four writs of Fieve Facias from the Courts to Thomas Landon dated 24 Mar 1814, 12 Apr 1817, 10 Jan 1818, and 27 Apr 1821.6
Witness20 February 1829On 20 February 1829, Rachel Landing consented for her orphan child James Landing to be indentured to George L Redden as an apprentice to learn the art of Hatting (hat making). This apprenticeship will last until James reaches the age of twenty-one on 2 March 1835.6

Olive United Methodist Church in Westover. She is survived by six children, Ollie R. Massey, Barbara Dorsett, Jennie Townsend, Kay Dorsey, Patricia Fields and Pierce Massey, and a sister, Eleanor Abbott. She was preceded in death by a brother, Elvyn Landing.2

Will5 April 1838Levin Jr. Powell left a will on 5 April 1838 in Worcester County Court House, Worcester County, Maryland,In his will he named his children and some of his grandchildren.2
MyNote14 August 1844On 5 March 1838, Levin Powell wrote his will and in it stated: "... I give and devise unto my daughter Rachel Blades all the lands that I own on the eastermost side of the county road that leads from Handy Mills to Welburn Mill to be at her disposal to her and heirs and assigns forever. Also I give and bequeath unto my said daughter Rachel a negro boy John to her and her heirs and assigns forever". The will was probated on 14 August 1844.3
