"Where Did We Come From?"
PLEASE DO NOT REPRODUCE THIS DATA WITHOUT PRIOR PERMISSION, MAY CONTAIN LIVING PEOPLE'S INFORMATION
We have no idea where our LANDING ancestors came from. I am currently working on eleven different (unique lines) LANDING family histories throughout the United States. The locations of where the first three families (Thomas Landon/Landing LANDING #1, William D Landing LANDING #2, Michael Landing LANDING #3a) lived are shown on the map to the right. The three LANDING families appear to have lived within 7 miles of each other during the 1750s-early 1800s. Parts of the third family (Arthur C Landing, grandson LANDING #3b) moved to Tangier Island in the 1820s and then (Ezekiel Landing, son LANDING #3c) to Mathews, VA in the 1850s. These three families are probably related but I haven't found the connection, yet!

This family research documents boths sides of our familys, the LANDINGs (Don Landing LANDING #1 line) and the SAUDADEs (Mary Saudade).

The descendants of Rachel Powell and Thomas Landen/Landing (LANDING #1) from Worcester County, MD in 1814. | The descendants of Antonio de Medeiros Saudade from the Azores Islands in the middle 1800s |
Many other surnames are included as they intersect with direct ancestors from both major family lines, LANDINGs and SAUDADEs. Please contact me, Don Landing, via email if you find a connection to your family or to let me know of any errors/omissions in this research.
