Betty was born on October 4, 1932 in Sullivan, Missouri to the late Albert Landing and Gertha Pilkerton. She lived for her children and granddaughter. Betty loved gardening, landscaping and placing others needs before her own. Betty is survived by her 3 children, Michael Meyer and wife Deborah, Trudy Meyer, Deanne Meyer; former spouse, John Meyer; granddaughter, Kristy Cantu; brother, Jerry Landing and wife Virginia of St. Clair, MO.; along with many nieces and nephews. May 16, 1932 - September 30, 2016 Obituary John Meyer, 84, our wonderful dad and grandfather went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, September 30, 2016. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, October 3, 2016, at Elmwood Funeral Home, 750 Hwy 277 South. Graveside services will be 11:30 AM Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Elmwood Memorial Park, officiated by Janice Six. John was born May 16, 1932 in Washington, Missouri to the late John L. Meyer and Pansy Birdwell Meyer. He served in the United States Air Force for 22 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant. He went on to pursue business in real estate. Most mornings, John could be found at the Dixie Pig, eating breakfast and discussing life issues with his many friends. John is survived by three children, Michael Meyer and wife Deborah, Trudy Meyer, and Deanne Meyer and partner Gary Phipps; granddaughter Kristy Cantu; five brothers and one sister, Mary Crawford, Bernard Meyer, Tommie Meyer and wife Ruth, Walter Meyer and wife Kathy, Larry Meyer and wife Carolyn, Richard Meyer and wife Kathy, and sister-in-law Marlene Meyer, all of Missouri. He is also survived by extended family and numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Hospice of the Big Country, who so lovingly cared for our father. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Big Country, Food Bank of Abilene or your favorite charity.¹
